Islam Arafat's Summary

From my 5 years of working experience in development sector (in CARE Bangladesh, WBB Trust) and social research, I earn effective project supervision skills that encompasses offering comprehensive project implementation with proper communication, monitoring, learning, documentation and research solutions spanning across the analytic process. I have sharpened my knowledge and expertise in project management, stakeholder management and liaison with policymakers out of the positions of Project Coordinator/officer in International/National Development Organizations. I also bolstered my resilience and challenge orientation because of working experience in different development issues and cultures amidst diverse challenges.

In pursuit of my interest in assisting development activities, I have completed my Masters in Development studies from BRAC University, presented papers or participated as delegate in International conferences, got papers published in journals so far. My two stints in WBB Trust also offered me with opportunities to arrange and conduct regular press briefings and round-tables on social and environmental issues. Moreover, my experience in MRC-MODE Limited, CARE Bangladesh and WBB Trust to my belief has equipped me with the ability to understand social issues, behavioral communications, project activation, capacity building, and beneficiary welfare in much more details and helped to get a better documentation skill along with ample learning of stakeholder and policy-maker communication.
